[CCBC-Net] Books and blogs

Here are the (children's lit related) blogs that I subscribe to, in no particular order:

# A Chair, A Fireplace & A Tea Cozy (14) (0)
# Worth the Trip (0) (0)
# A Fuse #8 Production (1) (0)
# A Year of Reading
# Shen's Blog
# American Indians in Children's Literature
# The PlanetEsme Plan: The Best New Children's Books from Esme's S
# Welcome to my Tweendom
# Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast
# Read Roger
# I.N.K.
# wide-mouthed blog
# 2009 Debutantes
# Black Threads in Kid's LIt
# mitali's fire escape
#Wake County Public Libraries
# ACPL Mock Newbery
# ACPL Mock Sibert
# ACPL Mock Geisel

Of these, Fuse #8 is the only one I read daily. I enjoy Read Roger, it's always brief and entertaining, and Debbie Reese's American Indians in Children's Literature constantly challenges me to look at literature in a different way. INK is great for nonfiction. The mock awards are fun to browse and the Wake County Public Libraries blog is a mock Newbery site where the kids leave their thoughts in the comments, and I enjoy hearing what kids think of the books. Where do I get the time? I purchase children's books for my library system and I consider it a priority to keep up with the blogs just like it is a priority to read the review journals and keep tabs on the listservs. And it's fun, so if I browse the blogs on my lunch break I don't feel cheated out of lunch!
