I try to keep up?with NonFiction Matters (Marc Aronson), Read Roger (Sutton),?Fuse #8 (Elizabeth Bird), INK ("Interesting Non-Fiction for Kids"), and Editorials Annonymous.? I admit to skimming, and?check them sporadically,?but I feel that I get a lot from these?blogs that I don't get elsewhere, or at least not so easily.? A few recent?examples I've enjoyed:? 1)??Elizabeth Partridge sharing the?evolution of her work-in-progress on NonFiction Matters is fascinating...what a treat to get her first-hand perspective on so many interrelated?elements that go into the creation of a single?book.??2)?The sense of fun and irreverence (but combined with critical analysis)?that you don't get so often?in?other children's literature settings, like?Fuse #8's?Newbery and?Caldecott Predictions (her own picks?as well as?many others in the comments).?? 3)??Celebrate America?recommendations from a host of non-fiction authors on INK?that range
from Henry Hikes to Fitchburg to?America by John Stewart.?? 4) The thread about?rhyming picturebook in Editorials Annonymous...it's a topic?I've read?about before, but not from the point of view of an editor wading through submissions.? I know there are many more out there, but I've got a better chance of feeling halfway caught up if I just have a handful of blogs to check when I can...??????

Many YA authors are on LiveJournal, including David Lubar, Mary Pearson, Marlene Perez, DL Garfinkle, Lisa Yee, Liz Gallagher, Sarah Dessen, Sarah Prineas, Eric Luper, Tanya Lee Stone - and many, many more.
