I think the issue here is the extent to which books are annotated and reviewed. Short annotations for a bibliography are meant to tempt the reader without giving away the whole story; in-depth reviews are useful for the collection developer. For readers who may be transgender, gender queer, or transvestite, or often unsure about where they fall into the spectrum, a bibliography reflective of all of these issues is particularly useful.
