I can't help comparing Uncle Bobby's Wedding to Pija Lindenbaum's book Mini Mia and her darling uncle. It's a 2007 translation of a Swedish book about Mini Mia who adores her Uncle Tommy and is very jealous of his new friend Fergus. It's only when Fergus teaches her some soccer moves that she accepts him and his place in Uncle Tommy's life. Jane Cothron Waldport, Oregon
