Dear all,
The 2005 movie "Breakfast on Pluto," based on Patrick McCabe's novel of the same name and adapted by the author and director Neil Jordan for the screen, is about a transgendered orphan, seen first as a child, then as a young man, seeking love and his/her mother in 1970s Ireland and London. I haven't read the book yet but I got the movie from Netflix and it was terrific. It has a wonderful soundtrack, too, of period songs.
Best wishes,
