Deb Ellis also has a new book, due out from Groundwood in September, called Off to War: Voices of Soldiers? Children. Ellis interviewed kids ages 6-17 from military families across the U.S. and Canada, and in the book they tell their own stories, in their own words. It's very powerful, and provides a rare and deeply affecting glimpse into the lives of children whose voices are seldom heard. Royalties from the book are being donated to the Children in Crisis Fund of IBBY. Susanna
