Hello Everyone. :) I am currently in the process of exploring new career paths, and one career that is constantly calling out to me is School Librarianship. I have been doing informational interviews and observing in libraries and doing everything I can to get a realistic view and feel for what the field entails. I would really appreciate any feedback anyone in this field has. What is the best part of this career? What is the worst? What is the feel of a typical day, or is there no typical day? What prepared you the most for your position? Can anyone speak to being a writer and also a librarian and how the two passions intermingle or don't? What is it like to be surrounded more and more by technology in libraries? How much interaction do you have with the kids? How much flexibility do you have in building the collections? As you can see, there is so much I'd love to hear about!
