I have to mention, before Poetry Month finishes, another wonderful anthology. Jane Yolen's Here's a Little Poem is a sensitively chosen selection of new and familiar poetry for very young children. It's become my new favorite gift for expectant families!

National Poetry Month will continue throughout April, and I know that many if not all of us who are part of the CCBC-Net community will continue reading, sharing and thinking about poetry throughout the year.
I want to thank both Lee Bennett Hopkins and Ruth Gordon for sharing their perspectives on creating anthologies of poetry for children and teens. It's been a wonderful discussion.
Our CCBC-Net discussion will be turning to the future of picture books for the remainder of April.
