It won't happen again, I promise. I was wondering, though, since I have such a wonderful resource at my fingertips, if anyone would be able to offer a few reading suggestions.

As a senior English and CompLit major, I'm completing a senior honors project, and my thesis revolves around gender development and identity in children's fantasy literature, specifically regarding female protagonists. I've been doing research on my own, naturally, but I'm quite positive that there's a wealth of information out there that I've never heard of before.

If anyone has any suggestions regarding female heroines/heroes, scholarly articles or journals, or any personal experiences with certain works or authors, I would really appreciate the input and knowledge that can come from such a group of interested, educated people.
