Dear Dear Erlene:
You certainly DID NOT offend me in any way. I'm sorry you thought I did. I just wanted to point out that Pam Travers did not approve of the song. She guarded her books with a passion. Had she known what Disney was going to do with them she never would have given them rights.
I interviewed her just as the production of MARY POPPINS came to an end. By the way, she didn't think too much of Julie Andrews either! Is any author happy with media treatments of their books?
I agree with you wholeheartedly that children LOVE big words. They sometimes cannot spell 'the' but can spell the names of the great dinosaurs and more.
I am sure you are doing wondrous things with children.
As a matter of fact, I bet YOU are 'supercalifrag..."!!!
Here's wishing you and yours a wondrous Springtime.
Bring in the season with BIG words!
  My very best.

In no way did I intend to say that the song was from the literature. Only that children love the song and the word ? and equally, love other "big" or "neat" sounding words. Sorry if I offended you. Erlene
