Actually, although I'm a former bullying victim and the parent of one, I've always thought of the "My Kid Beat Up Your Honor Student" bumper stickers as a
sort of commentary upon braggart parents who view their kids' academic achievements as a reflection of their own (excellent) parenting (in which case, presumably the parents of the kids who get sub-honor roll grades are bad parents). As the parent of a smart kid with learning disabilities, which cause her to have to work very hard for less-than-honor-roll grades and to be bullied by the honor students who've told her she's not smart enough to be in class with them (She is gifted/LD), I've always found those braggy bumper stickers irritating. People actually need to announce their child's GPA on their
*car?* What ever happened to modesty?
So I guess it all depends on your perspective. I would be against
*actually* beating up honors students, though;)
