[CCBC-Net] Bullies--and worse

I have already placed holds on both titles and look forward to reading them. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the people on this list for other title recommendations that I might not otherwise see or read. Just recently Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy, Brendan Buckley's Universe, Elijah of Buxton were all such gems, eye opening and funny and painful and instructive and just darn good reads. Even being a children's librarian, I can't read everything but I'm so glad I didn't miss these.

I will add a word so that Esme does not have to feel less modest than she is. VIVE LA PARIS is a powerful, complex and intensely engaging story with a voice that pulls the reader in to Paris' world. I highly recommend it for students and teachers; it is a book with universal appeal.
