[CCBC-Net] Bullying

Looking at my daughter's school, I see a place where the administration, teachers, teachers-aides, and after-school teachers are all on the same page about a zero tolerance to bullying. And I think it works. Not that bullying doesn't ever happen, but it is DEALT with immediately, directly and compassionately for both the bullies and the bullied. But I think her school is the exception, by far.

My own Catholic-school education had plenty of bullying, before, during and after school.

I read Blubber as a child, and boy, did it ring true to me. Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood, which I read much later, was quite a fantastic book about the close, hostile ties that girls can create.
