When my son was four, we were on a long driving trip, when Tofer asked for the book Owl Moon on tape. It had been months since we had read that book aloud to him. As I rummaged around for the tape, he gazed out the window and murmured, "You know, snow IS whiter than the milk in a cereal bowl."
Jane Yolen, her talent of good writing, and my son taught me to never underestimate the intelligence of a child and the depth of what they get out of a book. Liz
