[CCBC-Net] Mind your manners!

One aspect of nostalgic books that we haven't yet addressed much was mentioned in Megan's original message introducing the topic. For some reason, there were about a dozen or so books in 2007 for children and teens dealing with manners. Some were original funny takes on manners, such as "Do unto Otters" by Laurie Keller, but most were good old-fashioned etiquette books, like the kind we had foisted on us in the 1950s and 1960s. (Anyone remember Goofus and Gallant from "Highlights" magazine?)

We've seen and etiquette book published every 5-10 years or so, but to see so many in one year was quite remarkable. I'm not sure what accounts for all these books coming out at the same time.

I'm curious: those of you who work in schools and libraries, have you been getting a lot of requests lately for etiquette books?
