Reading Beth's message brought to mind a similar experience-my husband would read at our dinner table to our three boys-but the night he read The Twits by Roald Dahl was our start to finish-kitchen a mess read-aloud. Doris Gebel Northport-East Northport Public Library

Another time, I couldn't help reading aloud the beginning pages of The Book Of Coupons at the dinner table and my husband and children were so enthralled that I read them the whole book. By the time we finished, it was long past dark and the food was cold, the kitchen was a mess but we were so happy....you know in that satisfied way you feel when you have just finished a great story....only we were experiencing that together. The best family therapy I know.
