Maybe, if Britney, Lindsay, or Jamie Lynn had read Printz winners instead of horoscopes and tabloids, they would not be in the pickles they are in now... Yes, the Today show should include the Printz winner too. Maybe there should be a week of books with Sibert, Geisel, etc winners as well. Bina

I just hope that one day the Today Show will give another minute to the coverage and allow the Printz winner to be included. I understand the longevity and prestige of the two ALSC awards, I do, but in a day and age when the media repeatedly maligns teens for not reading enough it would be a real boost for them to include a positive story that encourages teen reading.
Perhaps they could cut the Tom Cruise/Scientology book coverage or Brittney Spears' meltdown stories to gain the extra minute. ;)
Kudos to all the committees. I need to read REPOSSESSED and FEATHERS but otherwise I've read them all and really admire the winners. The good news is that I already had them all in my collections. Yea!
