Sorry for the cross posting.
A colleague of mine is trying to locate a couple of her old favorite childhood books. One was titled something like "A House For All Seasons," in which a family can't decide what color to paint their house. In the end they choose white because all colors combined make white. The second book is a folktale that has to do with a king in a castle who gives a test of wits to three subjects, and the resolution has to do with a jar of ink. Sorry to be so vague. Do either of these ring a bell? Thanks!!!
