Hi,
This morning, 1/9/08, Brooklyn Public Library held its 2008 Mock Caldecott Award program. The winners are:
2008 BPL Mock Caldecott Winner- The Chicken-Chasing Queen of Lamar County by Janice N. Harrington, illustrated by Shelley Jackson.
2008 BPL Mock Caldecott Honor Books:
Henry's Freedom Box by Ellen Levine, illustrated by Kadir Nelson.
Glass Slipper, Gold Sandal by Paul Fleischman, illustrated by Julie Paschkis.
The actual winner of the Caldecott Medal and honor books will be announced Monday morning, January 14, along with the Newbery Medal and various other Youth Media awards. You can view a live webcast of the Awards Press Conference, starting at 7:45am, here:
