This has been a good year for books, I believe. One of my favorites is CELESTE'S HARLEM RENAISSANCE by Eleanora Tate.
This carefully researched book, set in both the segregated south and the Harlem of the 20's, has a protagonist who seems very real. She grows and changes through very difficult circumstances.
I have always thought that Eleanora Tate has her finger on the emotional pulse of young people. This one rings absolutely true.
I do not want such a compelling, worthy book to fall through the cracks and not receive the recognition it deserves.
