One of THE WORST of all time, book to film 'efforts' was Riverworld by Philip Jose Farmer. This was an entire series or six or seven books mashed into one incomprehensible ninety minute show. And even more unbelievable, with the wealth of story and characters in those books, the show had nothing to do with any of it. Such a disappointment.
Patricia Ryan, Children's Librarian Union City Library 510-745-1464 ext. 19

"Now, when I read constantly about the way in which library funds are being cut and cut, I can only think that the door is closing and that American society has found one more way to destroy itself." I, Asimov.

What are your thoughts on some of the more recent "translations" of books into these media?
