I really enjoyed the live action version of Charlotte's Web. The animated version always got on my nerves - too many rolicking, Broadway-style songs at odds with E.B. White's prose. I thought the live action version had a nicely quiet, reflective, and even sometimes somber mood, accented by a few comical episodes. Julia Roberts' voice of Charlotte was calming and confident and I enjoyed the variety of actors voicing the other animals such as Robert Redford as the horse. Penny
