Astrid Lindgren's 100th Birthday Celebration

The Embassy of Sweden and the Children's Book Guild of Washington D.C. cordially invite you to an evening celebration in honor of Astrid Lindgren, the Swedish author of many beloved children's books including her most famous character Pippi Longstocking, with two very well known American authors, Katherine Paterson and Johanna Hurwitz. Katherine Paterson was the first American recipient of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award and Johanna Hurwitz has written the biography Astrid Lindgren: Storyteller to the World. A light Swedish dinner buffet will be served.
