[CCBC-Net] Anne Carroll Moore Lecture on November 27

Dear Colleagues, You are cordially invited to attend the Anne Carroll Moore Lecture at The New York Public Library on November 27. This year's speaker is Ashley Bryan, noted author, illustrator, poet, storyteller, Coretta Scott King Award winner, Fulbright scholar and professor of art. His lecture is entitled "Deep Like the Rivers: African American Poets, Spirituals, and African Tales" and will take place on November 27 at the Donnell Library Center Bankers Trust Auditorium, 20 West 53rd Street, New York, NY, at 10:30 a.m.

At 10:00 a.m. in the Central Children's Room on the 2nd floor of the Donnell Library Center, guests are invited for coffee and to examine books from the annual list, Children's Books 2007: One Hundred Titles for Reading and Sharing. Selections of original art from some of the titles on the list will also be on display.
