[CCBC-Net] Horror Stories

Fourth graders are tricky, but two I love to read aloud are Neil Gaiman's Coraline (so deliciously creepy! --- I even have a bag with three marbles from the book promotion) and Philip Pullman's Clockwork. They have just the right scary fairy tale feel. They aren't for all kids (and I don't show the Dave McKean Coraline illustrations as they are just too scary for many!), but mostly they work for my classes.
