For those of you in the Dallas, TX area, I would like to announce the upcoming Star-Lit Children's Literary Festival on Saturday, October 20th. Star-Lit is a family literary event and in celebration of our 5th anniversary will be free to the public this year! A few details.

Event: Star-Lit Children's Literary Festival Date: Saturday, October 20, 2007 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Location: St. Andrew United Methodist Church

        Plano, TX 75093 Cost: FREE Admission!

Star-Lit is the annual fundraiser for the Dallas Bethlehem Center, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing the children of South Dallas with a positive environment for growth, regardless of their economic status or family situation. This year's authors and illustrators include: Laura Numeroff, Kimberly Willis Holt, Bryan Collier, Cynthia Leitich Smith, Greg Leitich Smith, Will Hillenbrand, Kim Brown, Tracy Dockray, and Dee Scallan. Come enjoy a fun-filled day of author presentations, book signings, raffle drawings, and a scavenger hunt featuring exciting prizes such as iPod Nanos, gift certificates, Webkins, and more.
