Looking at the list of winners and honor books, I noticed that Laura Ingalls Wilder is probably the most popular at my library. She won an honor in 1944 for These Happy Golden Years, an honor in 1942 for Little Town on the Prairie, an honor in 1941 for Long Winter, an honor in 1940 for By the Shores of Silver Lake and an honor in 1938 for On the Banks of Plum Creek. Always a bridesmaid and never a bride?
