Hi everyone,
    Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions of independent bookstores... both children?s bookstores or bookstores with great children?s departments.
   
  My list is below... with general resources first. The bookstores are organized by state, then alphabetical by city and bookstore. Websites are included in almost every case, except for a couple bookstores that don't have websites (or at least, I can't find them). I checked all the websites and all the bookstores listed seem to currently be in business.
   
  I?ve put links to all the bookstore websites on this list on my blog Wizards Wireless (http://wizardswireless.blogspot.com/) and I?ll keep updating it with new links.
   
  If the list doesn't format well in your e-mail and you'd like a better copy, please e-mail me off the list and I'll be happy to send you the Word document (5 pages) or the full annotated list with everyone's comments (20 pages).
