"Once Upon a Nation: My Adventures in Children's Book History" By Leonard S. Marcus
Friday, October 12 7:00 pm University of Maryland
Leonard S. Marcus will offer a fascinating look at the history of children's publishing - including a peek at his forthcoming book Golden Legacy: How Golden Books Won Children's Hearts, Changed Publishing Forever and Became an American Icon Along the Way.
An acclaimed historian and critic, Leonard reviews children's books for Parenting magazine and frequently contributes to the New York Times Book Review and other publications. In 2007, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the Bank Street College of Education. Visit his website at www.leonardmarcus.com.
Leonard will be speaking at the University of Maryland University College - Inn and Conference Center - 3501 E. University Blvd, Adelphi, MD.
Lecture is free and open to the public, followed by a reception and book signing.
