Dear CCBC friends: In the past year, I have been culling my children's literature collection as I down-size my living space. I was fortunate that for a while the University of Kentucky was adding these to their collection. However, they are no longer able to accept additional books so I am looking for a new recipient.
I am requesting two things only:
1) the payment for my mailing costs (book-rate/post office)
2) that if any of the books sent are already in the collection, that
the books be made available free to prospective teachers/educators
This process will be occurring over time so I need to find a university/college willing to be the recipient long-term. Because I taught prospective teachers, I do want these books to be in collections or in student hands as they move from my home to a new location.
I am cross-posting with Child-lit as well.
My "adoption" of my antique books was such a success ... and a joy. I am hopeful that someone in these communities will be interested as well.
Best,
Carolyn
