I few days ago I mentioned a few outdoor survival titles and I got the title of Sherry Shahan's book wrong (so much for relying on memory instead of notes). The correct title is Death Mountain, not Danger Mountain. My apologies to Sherry Shahan and anyone frustrated looking up the wrong title.

Here is my article draft for the Death Mountain entry:

Shahan, Sherry. Death Mountain. 2005. 202 p. Peachtree. Two teenage girls are caught in a fierce electrical storm and find themselves lost in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The two initially clash with each other. One of the girls has a fair amount of experience in the wilderness, but it takes both of them to find food and protect themselves from the elements. Along the way, they learn more about each other and themselves. 10 Minute Selection: Read chapter six where the girls get separated from their hiking group during the storm. Continue reading the very short chapter ten when the girls hear a noise outside their makeshift shelter. End your reading right before the end of the chapter with the sentence ?Something large and furry burst into the shelter.?
