"Does anyone have any specific books written by celerities that they like or do not like?"

Yes. I know two 30-something women, one is my daughter and the other is a friend, that loved reading Julie Andrews Edward's "The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles" as children and still consider it among their all time favorites. Both women have been lifelong, voracious readers, who read constantly and often well into the night finishing a book.
