If celebrities want to write children's books because, like Madonna and now Berkeley Breathed, they feel the current offerings are lacking, I see no problem -- as long as they are content to settle for advances similar to those offered to the ordinary, non-celebrity first-time author. I mean, if it's all about loving children and wanting only the best books for them, why not? But I'm not holding my breath -- is anyone? Sally Derby
