Gee-whiz! I thought we'd beaten this issue to death already! Had no idea it was still kicking around! A few years back, when I did onsite book fairs, HP was pulled from my inventory at some of the private schools we served and the ironic part was that even as the librarians were going around pulling them (in their defense, their job was on the line if they didn't), I could overhear the kids talking to each other about every single scene mentioned in the books being pulled! :-)

At any rate, I'm glad the decision went the way it did in this most recent episode. Had it not, we'd have to consider also pulling soooooooo many priceless and precious fairy tales, starting with Snow White and going on from there. :-(

I'm a strong Christian myself but fear that God himself would not measure up to these folks' rules and regulations. He would just be used as the banner under which their own agenda would be imposed on the rest of us.
