For early readers there's Mr. Putter & Tabby Write the Book which is full of Cynthia Rylant and Arthur Howard's usual humor.
Extending the topic a bit is William Durbin's newest novel, El Lector, in which a young girl wants to follow in her grandfather's footsteps by reading to the employees as they work in the cigar factory in their Cuban-American community.
