Hello Everyone,
Henrietta Smith's comments about Kadir Nelson's Moses When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom are right on the mark. It is a beautifully illustrated work, capturing Tubman's deep spirituality and fierce determination. It is a book that lends itself to many readings and I think it will make the young reader "feel" Harriet's struggle and spirit.
I've just started reading Copper Sun and was immediately pulled into the story. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the book, along with the other
of the CSK Award winners.
