[CCBC-Net] Mock Newbery results

86 Fourth and Fifth graders voted in our Mock Newbery from a field of 15 books.
  It was not a landslide like last year's Lightning Thief.
 
  Winner Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
  Comments Lily 11-"The book was about love. It was moving , vivid and powerful. It changed me." Cal 10 " I felt Edward" Jenna 10 " this was a great book, I finished it in a day." Otis, 11- "the characters had real personalities and the traveling was real." Andrew 11 "I enjoyed the the people that he met. It made me laugh" Attiyah, age 10 " It was easy to understand. I liked the cliff-hangers" Anna" Really boring and slow and the end wasn't real" Henry 11" it was different from any other book that I have read. It's really about learning how to love. Tohar 11" An essential book for everyone to read" Emma 10, I liked the way it was written Grace" It was like a fairytale Stephen " Doesn't push the limits. you can believe the story because the author doesn't have the rabbit walking and talking by himself.
  Jesse 10," Even though it didn't sound like a book I would like. it was one of my favorites.
  Honors Jeremy Fink And the Meaning of Life Otis 11 "The book really pulled me in and the suspense was just right" Natalie 11" Even though he couldn't speak you could hear his thoughts"
  Clementine
