The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Vol. 1: The Pox Party by M.T. Anderson
Amazing incredible sad moving original challenging enlightening. Breathtakingly brilliant.
I will give this book to adults and to high school students who are really good readers... Can't wait to read the second volume... I loved the various forms the story takes, like sifting through a drawer full of original historical sources and piecing together a suspenseful and heartbreaking story. Sheds needed light on early american history.
