Margaret K. McElderry, editor and publisher of books for children for over fifty years, is the 49th winner of the Regina Medal for her lifetime dedication and excellence to children's literature. The award is administered annually by Catholic Library Association through the Children's Library Services Section. Ms. McElderry will receive the medal at a luncheon in her honor at the CLA convention in Baltimore, MD on April 11, 2007.
