Wendy, Thanks for the title of the Heller book on pronouns...I hadn't seen that. I do have four others by Heller - on collective nouns, nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
Margie, Here are several other picture books about language:
_Miss Alaineus-A Vocabulary Disaster_ by Debra Frasier about a girl who mis-defines miscellaneous; quite amusing and written in a journal format
_Alfie the Apostrophe_ by Moira Rose Donohue about an apostrophe who is nervous that his part in the punctuation magic show won't measure up to the other punctuation marks.
_Cryptomania - Teleporting into Greek and Latin with the Cryptokids_ by Edith Hope Fine is a space/time travel book in which a group of kids discover the roots of English words.
