Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Star-Lit: A Children?s Literary Festival in Dallas, TX benefiting the Dallas Bethlehem Center. This year?s festival will be held Saturday, October 21st. Authors and illustrators scheduled to attend:
Nikki Grimes Will Hillenbrand Chris Raschka Rick Riordan Michael J. Rosen Sharon Robinson Dee Scallan Diane Stanley
Star-Lit provides kids and their families an intimate gathering with authors and illustrators, including a Breakfast with the Authors, a central bookstore run by Border?s, multiple book signings by each author, author presentations with Q&A, and many other fun activities and surprises.
Tickets to Star-Lit are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. You can also buy 4 and get 1 free. We are offering 500 free tickets to local school children and their families as well as teachers and librarians. If you?re planning to be in the Dallas / Fort Worth area on October 21st, we?d love for you to stop by. To reserve tickets, or for more event information, visit www.star-lit.org. Currently, a phone number is listed for you to call and reserve tickets. Our on-line ordering via credit card, as well as the full information regarding the event will go live in mid-September. If you are a teacher or librarian, please reference the free ticket giveaway when you call to reserve your tickets. For the free ticket giveaway, you can also email me directly with the number of tickets you'd like reserved. My email is mortonjeff at aol.com.
100% of the proceeds of Star-Lit go to the Dallas Bethlehem Center (www.dallasbethlehemcenter.org), a school in south Dallas providing a safe haven and nurturing environment for kids of all ages.
