I am delighted to share the news that Jos?! Born to Dance: The Story of Jos? Lim?n, written by Susanna Reich and illustrated by Ra?l Col?n
(Paula Wiseman Books, Simon & Schuster), has been honored with the 2006 Tom?s Rivera Mexican American Children's Book Award. The award, established at Texas State University-San Marcos in 1995, is designed to encourage authors, illustrators and publishers to produce books that authentically reflect the lives of Mexican American children and young adults in the United States. The award will be presented to Reich and Col?n on September 7 in Houston, Texas during a luncheon celebration at Sylvan Rodr?guez, Jr., Elementary School.
