[CCBC-Net] Reluctant readers

And not to forget, Christopher Paul Curtis. I really liked his "the Watson's go to Birmingham 1963" and "Bud Not Buddy" (which I used for a teen book club and as a lead into a "Jazz night _at_ the Library".
There is also Matt Christopher for boys who like sports.
One problem we have getting my son to read is that when he was given his summer reading list for school, only one book was geared towards boys. Even the 'fantasy' book on dragons (he picked it because it had dragons) had a girl as the main character, which caused him to not like it very much (to put it nicely).
