Noted for her "exquisite language" and "memorable characters," Kate DiCamillo is the acclaimed author of the Newbery Award winner The Tale of Desperaux and the Newbery Honor Award winner Because of Winn-Dixie. Her most recent novel, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane is the tale of a beloved china rabbit. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Writer, educator, and motivational speaker, Sharon Draper is the recipient of numerous awards including the Coretta Scott King Award, the Parents Choice Award and the American Library Association's Best Books for Young Adults. Her most recent books include Copper Sun and We Beat the Street. Others include: Tears of a Tiger, Darkness before Dawn, Romiette & Julio, The Battle of Jericho, Double Dutch and the series Ziggy and the Black Dinosaurs. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio.
