[CCBC-Net] Call for Addams Award Nominations

The Jane Addams Children's Book Awards Committee, sponsored by the Jane Addams Peace Association, is currently considering books for its 2007 Awards. Books must be published in the United States during 2006 and be submitted by December 1, 2006. These awards are given annually in the categories of Books for Younger Children and Books for Older Children
(ages 2 to 12). The Addams Award honors books that most effectively promote the cause of peace, social justice, world community, and the equality of the sexes and all races, as well as meet conventional standards for excellence.
Please send suggestions for consideration to me directly (not via CCBC-Net) at the e-mail address below, or send one copy of any book that you believe meet these criteria to me at the address that follows this message.
