I used the board book to make a flannel board set...and to help me memorize the story for an interactive toddler time...the chant lends itself very well to keeping little hands and mouths busy and attentive during story time. If you add a train whistle, that would help keep a large story time crowd on track too...

As I recall, the board book is considerably shorter than the full story
(hardcover or paper). Which in one way makes it easier for reading at storytime, as there is not as much there, saving your voice, and it whets the appitite for the full version, which the parents then get the pleasure of reading to the little ones. I used the shorter version for storytimes during our Summer theme of 'transportation', along with songs such as
"Pufferbellies".
