Hardcover to board book successes: This Little Chick by John Lawrence, It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles G. Shaw (even though the great horned owl is missing, this is one of those book miracles that works with newborns on up), and I Kissed the Baby by Mary Murphy. My nephew, at 12-18 months, loved the "Diaper David" board book re-imaginings of David Shannon's "David" books. Many lift-the-flap books, such as Dear Zoo, last longer in young hands and in libraries. But when, oh when, will The Baby Goes Beep by Rebecca O'Connell and Ken Wilson-Max be in available in board book? I am glad it is in hardcover since it is a perfect lapsit read-aloud, but it is also a board book waiting to happen. Are there are other hardcover titles folks would like to see in board book format?

Dear all,
One of the happy (at least for me) adaptations to another format was when Kevin Henkes brought out the board books with Lilly and friends, starting with _Sheila Rae's Peppermint Stick_. It's nice to have these very short stories for babies and toddlers. Are there other hardcover-to-board book adaptations that others have particularly liked?
Robin
