Walt Disney not only debased literature but he also wreaked uncalculable damage on American taste and American culture. The vulgarity, vapidity, and just plain stupidity of popular culture can largely be attributed to him. Frances Clark Sayers was so right and she wrote at a time when she couldn't yet know the lasting damage Disney unleased.
