Gary Soto is the author of books that speak to children, teen and adult audiences. His most recent books for young people include Accidental Love, The Afterlife, Worlds Apart, and Fire In My Hands. A finalist for the National Book Award he is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Inspired by the work of Pablo Neruda and Garbiel Garcia Marquez, among others, this California native, now a resident of Berkeley, California, is a poet, novelist, and ambassador.

Please join in the fun at 2 p.m. on August 20 and encourage children and teens to participate.
