The series that hooked me on reading -- Little House on the Prairie books. I loved them! I re-read them often.
The books that impacted my pre-teen life were written by Judy Blume. "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret", "Deenie", etc. She explained a lot of things (that many young teens are afraid to ask about) and lets these readers know that they are experiencing normal things.
